A series of resource booklets provide information for teachers to support the planning document.

    Eight booklets provide information covering Key Ideas 1 to 7. A separate booklet covers Key Ideas 8 to 10.

    Comprehensive information on native fauna in Tasmanian forests is contained in a booklet called "Tasmanian Native Fauna"

    The use of technology in the timber industry is explored in two booklets covering a history of the timber industry in Tasmania from the 1820s to the 1990s (pdf) and the Tasmanian timber industry in 2000. (pdf) The latter booklet also covers timber species used for sawmilling in Tasmania including their characteristics and distribution in the state, timber products, Employment and education in Tasmania’s forest industries and Tasmanian design in wood.

    A booklet titled "Print and Visual Texts" reviews a wide range of books, videos and posters supporting the Key Ideas for Project Forest. The first section reviews books, videos and posters supporting Key Ideas 1 to 7. The second section explores the part language plays in presenting and issue using a range of newspaper articles as examples. The final section of this booklet reviews books and videos that can be used to explore Key Ideas 8 to 10 with examples of how suggested resources can be used.

    A set of 8 historical posters looking at life and work in Tasmanian forests in the early 1900s and a set of 13 Technology posters investigating aspects of design in timber and design challenges in timber complete the printed resources for Project Forest.
