A number of supporting teaching resources have been developed for Project Forest. (For examples of each of these resources click on the highlighted words or on the appropriate tag.) These include overview resources for each of the 10 Key Ideas for forest studies. These overview resource booklets provide information about forest ecology, forest management and forest issues as well as an overview of the changes in technological within the timber industry from the 1820s to the 1990s. A particularly Tasmanian focus is maintained throughout. Included in these resources are a complete checklist of Tasmanian native fauna, including the invertebrate groups, a literature review of print and visual texts that can support each of the Key Ideas and a set of colour and black line masters of all maps that appear in the resource booklets.

A set of historical posters outlining the nature of life and work in Tasmanian forests during the 19th century are included in the resources. These prints have explanatory notes attached and also include some oral history extracts.

A set of 13 Technology Posters directly supporting the Technology learning area component of Project Forest.

Videos and posters, as described in the Print and Visual Texts resource, are available on loan from the Education Department Media Centre in Hobart. School interested in purchasing any of these should contact one of the Education Officers.
