Science Week
16th to 31st August 2004

14 teachers and 70 students are enjoying a free day in the forests of Tasmania working with forest scientists. 10 students and 2 teachers on each day are investigating diverse topics such as: soil formation, structure  and fertility; stream flows and water quality in forests; measuring big trees; use of water in the plantation industry; the science in papermaking; flora and fauna responses to different forest management techniques.
