Classroom visits

FEF staff are available to visit your school for a range of introductory activities based on forest ecology. For older groups, specific topics may be covered in more detail.

We are able to arrange visits to schools who are finding it difficult to come and see us at the Centre, although we cannot provide the full range of activities and resources available to those who visit the FLC. Activities are based on an introduction to Tasmanias forest types and their basic ecology, but can be expanded to cover forest invertebrates and sampling and aspects of forest management and planning. Costs are the same as for field trips or a visit to the Forest Learning Centre at $3 per student. Contact one of us to discuss ideas and dates.
