The Forest Discovery Experience comes to Burnie.
Mon, May 21, 2012
Come and visit to find out how the forest systems work, discover tiny invertebrates and explore their rotting wood habitats, just some of the things we can do whilst learning about our forests; their ecology, their history and people.
What is the Forest Discovery Experience?

The Experience will be based in the Burnie Linc during the final two weeks of term 1 (starting 21st May).
Our display material is the backdrop to a series of 90 minute sessions, which can be adapted to suit all yewar groups, from lower primary to secondary.
Activities include:
- investigating dry and wet forest types by building a forest
- indentifying invertebrates in rotting wood
- exploring the role of carbon in forest systems
- All activities run by qualitfied teachers.
The cost for each session is $50 with a maximum of 25 students.
