The Forest Education Foundation (FEF) is partnering with Sustainable Timber Tasmania (STT) to help support Tasmanian schools to participate in Schools Tree Day.

Together we are gifting free seedlings, hosting school planting events and providing educational resources and incursions to participating schools.

It has been a challenging start to the year and we want to acknowledge all the hard-working, dedicated teachers and support staff in our Tasmanian schools who have adapted so quickly to ensure our students continue to receive a high quality education during these times.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the seedling delivery date and other activities associated with Schools Tree Day have been postponed from the original date of 31 July to the last week of Term 3 (21-25 September).

We anticipate schools will have settled back into amended routines by this date. STT and FEF are looking forward to engaging with your students in planting and incursion events at the end of Term 3 and beginning of Term 4.

While we won’t be planting until September, we will still be celebrating Schools Tree Day with a Schools Tree Day Resource Pack!

To be a part of any or all of our opportunities this year, you need to Register Now.
