Spend the day in a forest near you exploring the roles and interactions of producers, consumers and decomposers in a forest ecosystem. Investigate the relationship between living and non-living features of forests and the stages of the life cycle of a tree. Build a picture of the different values people hold for forests and how natural resources can be used and managed sustainably.
